2002 | Phase II of the anti-topping campaign begins; Forest ReLeaf receives a Certificate of Merit from the National Arbor Day Foundation in recognition of its many accomplishments |
2003 | Forest ReLeaf celebrates its tenth anniversary with an open house at Project CommuniTree; a highly successful Storm Preparedness and Response pilot workshop is presented in conjunction with the USDA Forest Service and the Missouri Department of Conservation |
2004 | The 50,000th tree distributed by Forest ReLeaf since the organization was founded is planted in Fairground Park in St. Louis |
2005 | Forest ReLeaf is selected for the Better Business Bureau's Honor Roll of Charities |
2006 | Project CommuniTree moves to a new site in Creve Coeur Park in Maryland Heights, Missouri |
| 2007 | The new nursery is dedicated
as "CommuniTree Gardens" in recognition of its expanded role as a
demonstration site for native and "utility-friendly" trees |
| 2010 | Forest ReLeaf distributes its 100,000th tree. During a celebration held at CommuniTree Gardens nursery in September, a Baldcypress was awarded to Grace Hill Settlement House. On October 5th, AmeriCorps volunteers working with Grace Hill planted this and 29 other Forest ReLeaf trees in Peace Park, a newly renovated park in North St. Louis. |
