Community Forestry Workshops

The 2014 TreeKeepers program, presented by Forest ReLeaf of Missouri and sponsored in part by the Missouri Department of Conservation, educates citizens about trees, their benefits and care, and provides practical, hands-on learning in five key areas: tree identification, tree growth, planting, pruning, and insects and diseases. No prior experience required. Graduates are asked to provide 24 hours of volunteer service to Forest ReLeaf or in forestry-related projects in their community.

The 2014 Treekeepers classes have been scheduled for SATURDAYS, May 24th through June 28th. Class is limited to the first 50 registrants. Classes will meet in the Powder Valley Nature Center auditorium from 10:00am-12:00pm. The final class will be held at CommuniTree Gardens in Maryland Heights (weather permitting).
