Community Forestry Workshops

The 2012 TreeKeepers program, presented by Forest ReLeaf of Missouri and sponsored in part by the Missouri Department of Conservation, educates citizens about trees, their benefits and care, and provides practical, hands-on learning in five key areas: tree identification, tree growth, planting, pruning, and insects and diseases. No prior experience required. Graduates are asked to provide 24 hours of volunteer service to Forest ReLeaf or in forestry-related projects in their community. Class is limited to the first 50 registrants. To register, contact Forest ReLeaf at 314-533-5323 or info@moreleaf.org. Classes will meet at Powder Valley Nature Center from 1-3 pm on the following dates: 3/15, 3/22, 3/29, 4/5, 4/12. The final class will be held at CommuniTree Gardens in Maryland Heights on 4/26 (weather permitting).
